Students check in with a rotating QR
The teacher starts a check-in session and puts the QR code on screen. Students scan it with their phone and are marked present instantly, without a register being passed around.
The code changes every few seconds and is cryptographically signed, so a photo shared on a group chat stops working almost immediately. Scans and manual marks share the same attendance record.
The code refreshes on a short timer, so screenshots can’t be reused later.
Every code is signed by the server, so forged or edited codes are rejected.
Teachers watch students appear on the roster as they scan.
Sessions close on their own, keeping late scans out of the record.
QR scans and manual corrections land in the same daily attendance.
Every role sees only what its permissions allow, and you can create custom roles for your own team structure.
QR attendance is one of the 23+ connected modules of EDTECHRUN, the complete school management software and ERP for schools, colleges and coaching institutes.
