Strong sign-in
Accounts are hard to break into and easy to shut off when someone should no longer have access.
- Passwords are never stored. Only a strong one-way hash is kept, so nobody can read them back.
- Repeated failed sign-in attempts are slowed down to stop password guessing.
- Sessions are short-lived and renewed through secure cookies that page scripts cannot read.
- New staff set their own password from a one-time link, and the school can switch off anyone’s app access.
The right people see the right data
What each person can see and do comes from their role, and your school decides what every role allows.
- Parents see only their own children; teachers see the classes they teach.
- Sensitive actions, such as refunds or opening personal details, need their own permission.
- Payroll is prepared by one person and approved by another, so no one can do both.
- When a staff member leaves, their sessions end and their access is closed.
